Mistakenly, many of us search for the answers we're looking for about life from an outside source. Granted, this may provide some answers, however, it is only because the knowledge is already inside of us.
Have you ever heard something for the first time and felt like you've known it all along and it rings true to your very core? That's because you already knew it. It was just buried deep inside of you and was just laying there undiscovered by your conscious mind. When we allow ourselves to go deep within and explore the solitude found there, we will discover many great treasures that have been hidden from our view.
We should all develop a daily practice of detaching from our hectic lives and discover the peace and knowledge found within. Meditation is a very good way of doing just this, however, it truly can be done through any means you enjoy that allows you to "step away". Walking, coloring, painting, gardening, yoga, communing with nature and many other great options exist for developing our internal connection with our source.
When you find your inner guru, you will find the answer to many of your problems. Or you may ask for guidance there and the answers will be directed to you through whatever means necessary. It may be through a conversation with someone else, an interest in a book or website, an inner whispering, a song you hear that resonates with you, just to name a few ways that the universe may send just the answer you were seeking. Since these messages usually come silently or indirectly, the key to hearing this wisdom is to be silent and remain aware.
